Qist Al-Hindi (Saussurea Costus) is a natural supplement, non-GMO, and a premium variety of Costus root, available in vegan capsules of 500MG and 700MG.
What is Qist Al-Hindi, Costus, or Saussurea Costus? Costus is a herbal plant that thrives in the high valleys of Kashmir and the Himalayas. It has various names in different languages, including "kuá¹£á¹ha" in Sanskrit, "kust" or "qust" in Arabic and Persian, "kut," "kur," and "pachak" in Hindi and Bengali, and many others across South Asia and the Middle East.
Costus is a perennial plant, typically growing 1-2 meters tall and 1 meter wide. It has long, lyrate leaves and purple florets. The leaves are auricled at the base, with jagged, toothed patterns running along the sides, averaging 0.50-1.25 meters in length. The plant's roots are stout and can extend up to 40 cm in length. Costus root has a bitter, yellow or light brown-colored aroma.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) praised the benefits of Costus, stating: "Use this Oud al-Hindi (Indian Wood Costus) because it contains 7 types of cures, it is sniffed by the one having throat trouble, and is put inside the mouth of one suffering from pleurisy." He also said: "Hijama (cupping therapy) and Qust al-Bahri (Costus) are the best of your remedies," and advised against using harsh methods to treat tonsillitis, recommending the use of Qust al-Bahri (Costus) instead.
Precautions and Notes: - Large amounts of Qist Al-Hindi should be used with caution. - Pregnant and nursing women should consult their doctor before taking. - Not recommended for those with deep disorders of the pancreas and small intestine. - People with allergies to ragweed and daisies should exercise extra care. - Not recommended for individuals with transplanted organs of organic origin. - Qist Al-Hindi is not a medicine; consult a physician for specific conditions and dosage.
